Jeffrey Scott Dean

Jeffrey Scott Dean, age 46, of Union Point, GA, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at his home. A native of Marietta, Georgia, he was born on May 19, 1965 to Vernon Lamar Dean and Patricia James Dean of Union Point, GA. He graduated from Marietta High School and attended college in Americus, Georgia. All of his life he painted and did auto body work with his father and brother and since 1995 he was the painter for Dean''s Paint and Body Shop in Greensboro, GA. Scott attended Grace Fellowship Church of Greensboro and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Heather Shea Dean of Siloam, GA and Zoey Taylor Dean of McDonough, GA; two brothers, Timothy LaDel Dean of Union Point, GA and Jerry Lamar Dean and wife Patti of Mableton, GA; three grandchildren, Gavin Lee Harris, Stewart Harris, Jr. and Ashlyn Harris all of Siloam, GA and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Long officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at McCommons Funeral Home and from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service Thursday afternoon.
