Jeanette Hawk Osborne, age 84, of Stockbridge, GA, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Vitas Hospice in Stockbridge, GA. She was born in Greensboro, Georgia on September 9, 1928 to the late Ocie Mae Dye Hawk Bradley and Clark Hawk. She attended Greensboro High School. Jeanette married Albert Wray Osborne in 1956. Her working career began at Crown Cork and Seal in Quality Control in Hapeville, GA and she later worked for the Army Air Force Exchange Service as Supervisor in the PX retiring in 2000. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wray Osborne; two daughters, Lynn Renee Osborne and Carol Elaine Lyle; a son, James Richard Lyle; and siblings, Melvin Bradley and Roy Bradley. She is survived by a son, Tim Osborne and wife Amy of Jackson, GA; grandsons, Christopher Wray Osborne and wife Ashley and James Adam Osborne; sister, Edna Muse of Athens, GA; brothers, Johnny Hawk of Greensboro, GA, Gene Bradley of Greensboro, GA and Harold Bradley, M.D. of Kerrville, TX; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 203 S. Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Chris Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642. Serving as pallbearers are Jacob Foster, Randy Farley, David Chapman, Justin Hirsh, Walker Daniel, Chris Osborne and Adam Osborne. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at McCommons Funeral Home in Greensboro, GA.
