Jane Brisby Ross

Jane B. Ross, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, Ga.  Born in Denver, Colorado, and was the daughter of the late Bruce and Rose Brisby.  Graduated from Hasbrouck Heights H.S., in New Jersey and went to work for various enterprises in New York City as a secretary and administrative assistant.  Jane married William F. Ross in Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1937 where they started a family.  Most of her life, she was an excellent homemaker, raising four children, primarily in Erie, Pennsylvania, and enjoyed reading, gardening, volunteer work at hospitals, and most of all, her church life.  She relocated to the Lake area from Conyers, Ga. 14 years ago and spent the last eight years at the Savannah Court, previously known as Willow Run.  She was a member of Christ our King and Savior Catholic Church in Greensboro, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William F. Ross and her brother Jack Brisby.  Mrs. Ross is survived by a daughter, Linda Ross of Suffern, New York, three sons, Bruce J. Ross and wife Sharon of Greensboro, Ga., David B. Ross and wife Linda of Lake Wales, Fla., Robert D. Ross and wife Deborah of Erie, Pa.; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a number of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM. at Christ our King and Savior Catholic Church, 6341 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, Ga. 30642, with Father David McGuinness officiating.  The family will receive friends at the reception after the service in the Sacred Heart Social Hall at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to Christ our King and Savior Catholic Church.
