Jane Cason Obituary

Rosie Jane McElhannon Cason, age 68, of Eatonton, GA, formerly of Greensboro, GA, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, GA. She was born on February 27, 1943 in Lexington, GA to the late Carl Cornelius McElhannon and Lillian Young McElhannon. She attended Greensboro High School, married in 1957 and was a seamstress at Stewart Apparel. Jane was a member of Union Point Worship Center. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband, George A. Cason of Eatonton, GA; three sons, George Douglas Cason and wife Donna of Eatonton, GA, Michael Keith Cason and wife Laura Ann of Washington, GA and Anthony Wayne Cason and wife Connie of Eatonton, GA; three sisters, Sarah Ann Hall and husband Mike of Union Point, GA, Katherine Quin of Union Point, GA and Connie Scarborough and husband Eddie of Elberton, GA; two brothers, Cornelius "Buddy" McElhannon of Winder, GA and Terry Lynn McElhannon of Winder, GA; grandchildren, Jesse Douglas Cason (Rena), Jeffrey Alan Cason, Christy Cason Nation (Derrick), Amanda Cason Cruz (Juan), Forest Cason, David Cason and Joshua Cason; step grandchildren; Colby Chandler Howard, Anthony Cole Howard; great grandchildren, Anna Megan Cason, Kaleb Fluker, Justin Fluker, Lynn Nicole Nation, Carlos Aiden Cruz; and a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Lindsey and Victoria McDaniel.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Dennis Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642. Serving as pallbearers are Jesse Cason, Jeffrey Cason, David Cason, Mike Hall, Eddie Scarborough, A. J. Mathis and Forest Cason. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Thursday night at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
