James Barry Mines of Madison, GA, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Athens Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 14, 1962 in Washington, Georgia to James Franklin and Josie Ogletree Mines.  James graduated from Morgan County High School in 1980.  He married the former Anita Barber on June 19, 2000.  For thirteen years he worked as a forklift operator for Wellington Puritan Mills in Madison, GA retiring in 2003.  James loved going to the river and listening to music.  He always said he lived a full life everyday.  

In addition to his wife, Anita Mines of Madison, GA, James is survived by his mother and father, James and Josie Mines of Madison, GA; sister, Karen Lavern Mines of Madison, GA; brothers, Keith Lynn Mines and Kenneth Lewis Mines both of Madison, GA, two daughters, Bethany Mines and Brandi Mines; three stepdaughters, Tracy Donaldson, Jamie Williams and Angela Rowe; four grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
