James Franklin Ipock, age 61, of Greensboro, Georgia, died on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Northeast Methodist Hospital while in San Antonio, Texas. Son of the late Thomas Bryan Ipock, Sr. and Valda Hartsell Ipock, he was born on June 23, 1946, in Gaston County, North Carolina. He graduated from Hunter-Huss High School in Gastonia, North Carolina and attended Gaston College for one year. At that time he was drafted into the United States Army and served his country in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a successful businessman as owner and operator of Grand Rental Station of Watkinsville, a rental equipment business. Mr. Ipock was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro.
He is survived by his wife, Dale Ruff Ipock of Greensboro, Georgia; a son, Brian Ipock of San Antonio, Texas; four brothers, Tommy Ipock and wife Ann of Gastonia North Carolina, Bob Ipock and wife Beverly of Gastonia, North Carolina, Donald Ipock of Gastonia, North Carolina and Vance Ipock and wife Anne of Athens, Georgia and a number of other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at the family''s home Monday the 19th at 2:00 PM. The family requests that any memorials be made to The American Cancer Society. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
