James Arthur Bryan, age 80, of Morrow, GA, died Monday, September 3, 2007 at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale. A native of Greene County he was born on April 19, 1927 to the late Lee Bryan and Lila Wood Bryan. He attended school in Penfield and married Mary Jewell Hunt in 1949. They continued to live in Greene County until 1957 where he worked for Union Manufacturing, a sock factory in Union Point. In 1957 he moved to Atlanta to work as a shipping clerk for Arrow Shirt Company Austell Distribution Center a division of Cluett Peabody and retired in 1993. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and watching NASCAR racing. He was a member of Walker United Methodist Church and a member of Arrow''s Twenty-five Year Club.
In addition to his wife, Mary Jewell Hunt Bryan, of Morrow, GA, he is survived by a son, Daniel Bryan of Morrow, GA; and a number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Willie Bryan.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Alan Parker officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Bryan, Darrell Hunt, Barry Scoggins, Jeremy Bryan, Haywood Hunt and Allen Bryan. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
