J. Brown Caldwell, Jr

Julius Brown Caldwell, Jr., age 73, of Stockbridge, GA, died Friday, October 22, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 25, 1937 in Athens, GA to the late Julius Brown Caldwell, Sr. and Lillie Mae Walker Caldwell. Brown grew up in Greene County living in Siloam, GA. After graduating from Greensboro High School, he graduated from Trade School in Americus, GA. He worked as a diesel mechanic for both Cummins Diesel and Central Truck Lines before retiring in 1988. Brown was a member of Eagle''s Landing First Baptist Church of Stockbridge. He loved going to race car events and watching them on t.v. Another love was collecting tractors and farm equipment.

In addition to his wife, Nita Wagnon Caldwell of Stockbridge, GA, he is survived by two daughters, Laurie Caldwell Coffey of McDonough, GA and Lisa Caldwell Puckett and husband Dale of Sheperdsville, KY; three grandchildren, Rodney Coffey and wife Jennifer, Sarah Coffey Boyd and husband Erick and Brette Puckett; two great grandchildren, Caroline Coffey and Spencer Coffey; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 2:00 p. m. at the Siloam Cemetery, Church Street, Siloam, GA 30665 with Rev. Michael W. Burt officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
