Huberta Duncan Perkins, age 80, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at her daughter''s home in Greensboro. Born in Putnam County on November 10, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Duncan and Carrie Hunnicutt Duncan. In 1944 she graduated from Greensboro High School. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of West End Baptist Church of Greensboro. She always looked forward to playing bingo on Tuesday night at Hardees. Before and during her illness she enjoyed her many visits from her friends at the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. "Pete" Perkins in November of 1991. She is survived by two daughters, Carol P. Brogden and husband John of Warner Robins, GA and Melinda P. Walker and husband Kent of Greensboro, GA; two grandchildren, Ellen B. Brock and Jamie Barnhart; and two great grandchildren, Zoey Brock and Abby Barnhart and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenview Cemetery with Rev. Richard Chewning officiating.
