Hillman Keith “Bub” Moody, Sr., age 74, of Greensboro, GA died Monday, December 22, 2003 at Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital. A native of Greene County, he was born on March 14, 1929 to the late Henry Grady Moody and Laura Russell Moody. He attended Clarke County schools and during World War II served in the United States Army. He was the owner and operator of Bub’s Barber Shop and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro and the VFW.
Survivors include two daughters, Katrena Robinson of Greensboro, GA and Teresa Hood of Monroe, GA; two sons, Keith “Kebo” Moody and wife Teri of the Veazey Community and Lance Land and wife Jackie of Union Point, GA; two sisters, Dolores Williams of Athens, GA and Nita Berryman of Athens, GA; five grandchildren, Meredith Ethridge, Rocky Land, Philip Robinson, Zeke Robinson and Brittany Griffith; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert R. Moody.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 26, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Jimmy A. Long officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers are Rocky Land, Philip Robinson, Zeke Robinson, Carey Williams Jr., Phil Robinson and Greg Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Glass, Deeta McCommons and Jere Power. The family requests that any memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, 202 S. Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time for the service at the Funeral Home on Friday. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
