Henry Neville Obituary

Henry Clay “Hank” Neville, age 82, of Madison, GA died Friday, June 11, 2010, at Madison Health and Rehab. Born in Queens Village, Long Island, New York on March 30, 1928, he was the son of the late Henry Clay Neville and Evelyn L. Grish Neville. He attended Hofstra University in Long Island and then joined the Merchant Marines and served in the Pacific Ocean. During World War II, he served his country in the United States Army at Ft. Gillem in Forest Park, GA and then served in Italy. After the war, he was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. On December 19, 1947, he married the former Audrey Finch of Greensboro, GA. For over twenty years, he worked for Pinkertons Detective Agency serving as vice president and retired in 1977. While living in Montauk, New York, he built a marina and later sold it in 1978. His hobbies were fishing, golfing and most of all traveling in his motor home across the United States. Hank was a member of the Madison Lodge #376. Mr. Neville is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Audrey Finch Neville, of Madison, GA; a son, Mike Neville and wife Mary Ann of Palm Harbor, FL; sister-in-law and husband, Susie Finch Fitzpatrick and Calvin of Macon, GA; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Doris Ropella, Grace Couzzo, Ted Neville and John Neville. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Jack Cathey, Tommy Cathey, Sammy Cathey, Gerald Cathey and Bill Ashley. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the funeral home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
