Henry Russell English, Jr.

Henry Russell English, Jr., age 58, of Union Point, GA, died Monday, August 21, 2017 at his residence.  Born May 13, 1959 he was the son of Katherine Hammond English Webb of Union Point, GA and the late Henry Russell English, Sr.  Little Henry as he was known by family and friends grew up in Greene County and attended Nathanael Greene Academy. As a teenager he worked for his father at English Easy Stop and later was self employed operating heavy equipment in the construction business.  His many interest included fishing, hunting, remodeling, tinkering with his truck and being with his family.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro.

 In addition to his mother, Katherine English of Union Point, GA, he is survived by two daughters, Sally Ruth Bussey and Linda Katherine “Katie” Welch; a brother, Frank Hammond English; six grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

 A Graveside Service will be held Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Penfield Cemetery, 1211 Cemetery Road, Penfield, GA 30669 with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home.
