Henrietta Durham Tolbert O''Neal, 68, of Union Point, GA died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Greene Point Health Care Center in Union Point. She was born January 1, 1941 in Greene County to the late Henry Bray Durham and Myrtle Canup Durham. Henrietta graduated from Union Point High School. Her nursing career started in Augusta as a certified nursing assistant at the Medical College of Georgia, then she returned to Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, worked at Greene Point Nursing Home and later retired from Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Union Point. Henrietta was a kind, loving spirit who enjoyed people and taking care of those in her community.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Tolbert and her second husband, Scott O''Neal. Survivors include her cousins, Ada Smithmier of Cartersville, GA, J. W. Canup and wife Kathlene of Lexington, GA, Jo Ann Mixon and husband Dwight of Crawford, GA and Lillie C. Piland and friend Ron Smith of Woodville, GA; an uncle, William Canup of Union Point, GA; a close friend, G. L. Culver of Union Point, GA; several step children; and a number of other cousins, relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery in Union Point, GA on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.Hal Burke officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Talmadge Morrow, G. L. Culver, Henry Sisson, Kenneth Rowland, Ricky Newsom and Alan Williams. The family requests that any memorials be made to Greene County Relay for Life, c/o Mary Pilgrim, P. O. Box 730, Greensboro, GA 30642. The family will receive friends at Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA Friday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at Bethesda Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday.
