Helen Lee Robinson Seekamp

Helen Lee Robinson Seekamp, 91, of Greensboro, GA died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Willow Run Retirement Home in Greensboro. She was born in LaRue County, KY on September 3, 1912 to the late William Arthur Robinson and Ella Pearman Robinson. She was a graduate of Girls High School In Louisville, KY and earned a Bachelor''s Degree and Master''s Degree from the University of Louisville where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. On July 3, 1941 she married Harold A. Seekamp in Louisville, KY. For a number of years she taught the 5th grade in Louisville, KY and was a member of the Kentucky Teachers Association, the Louisville Arts Club and the American Association of University Women. She was a dedicated swimmer and loved to travel with her husband. Since 2003 she had lived at Willow Run Retirement Home in Greene County.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold A. Seekamp in January of 2003. She is survived by a niece, Jane Kimbell and husband Chuck of Greensboro, GA; a nephew, Craig Seekamp of Portland, MI; a great niece, Shelby Callinan and husband Bob of Charlotte, NC; and a great nephew, Jason Kimbell of Atlanta, GA.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The cremains will be scattered at sea in the Gulf of Mexico.
