Helen Shirk Bechtol

Helen Marguerite Shirk Bechtol, age 91, of Covington, GA, formerly of Locust Street in Milton, PA died on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle, GA. Born in Hartleton, PA on November 22, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Stuart E. Shirk and Ella Stout Shirk. Helen was a homemaker and a member of the Womens Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Milton, PA.

She is survived by two sons, Alan L. Bechtol and wife Sheila of Covington, GA and Barry L. Ditzler and wife Samantha of Decatur, AL; brother, Jack Shirk and wife Virginia of Hartleton, PA; grandchildren, Andrew Alan Bechtol and wife Nicole and Amy Conner Bechtol all of Covington, GA, Barry W. Ditzler and wife Sheryl and Tracy Ditzler all of Decatur, AL; nine great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Harold Elsworth Bechtol, she was preceded in death by a grandson, James Bryan "Jim" Bechtol.
