Harriet Augusta Rizner, age 90, of Greensboro, Georgia formerly of Seminole, Florida died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Willow Run Retirement Home. She was born September 28, 1918 in Detroit Michigan to the late Albert and Alberta Leach. She graduated from Romulus High School in Romulus, Michigan. On January 20, 1941, she married Frank Rizner who preceded her in death on January 14, 1960. After his death she and her oldest son, Francis, continued to operate Rizner Lumber Company in Taylor, Michigan until 1967. In 1971 she moved to Seminole, Florida where she worked as a teachers'' aide until her retirement. She enjoyed reading and flower gardening. Since May of 2001, Mrs. Rizner had made her home at Willow Run Retirement Home.
She is survived by four sons: Francis Rizner and wife Dean of Greensboro, Georgia, Fred Rizner and wife Emily of Grafton, Ontario, Canada, Russell Rizner and wife Julie of South Nyack, New York and Robert Rizner and wife Karyn of Denver, Colorado; sister, Frances Zilka of Romulus, Michigan; six grandchildren: Amy Rizner, Kara Rizner Spedding and husband Dave, Jason Rizner and wife Rebekah, Timothy Rizner and wife Katie, Sam Rizner and Jonathan Rizner; one great grandchild, Avery Spedding; a number of nieces, one nephew; and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Albert Leach.
