H. Kelvin Yearwood

Hollis Kelvin Yearwood, age 49, of Union Point, GA died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born on March 17, 1962 in Greensboro, GA, he was the son of Carolyn Godbee of Union Point, GA and Hollis Yearwood of Union Point, GA. He attended Greene County High School. For a number of years Kelvin worked at Georgia Kraft in Madison, GA and for Fowler Plumbing in Union Point, GA. He most recently worked as a supervisor for Flooring America. He enjoyed fishing and watching racing.

In addition to his mother, Carolyn Godbee of Union Point, GA and father, Hollis Yearwood and wife Ann of Union Point, GA, he is survived by a daughter, Erin Berry and husband Brandon of Union Point, GA; five brothers, Keith Yearwood and wife Laura of Union Point, GA, Kris Yearwood and wife Kristi of Siloam, GA, Chad Godbee of Union Point, GA, Todd Godbee of Union Point, GA, Tim Harrison and wife Minan of Union Point, GA; two sisters, Dawn Godbee of Union Point, GA and Tracye Watson and husband Bob of Union Point, GA; two grandchildren, Corey Bedsole and Cali Berry; and a number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Donald Godbee.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Matthew Tyler officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Milton Davis, Jim Mason, Chuck Berry, Rocky Land, Gerald Silvey, Jerry Lunceford, Gary Yearwood, Lance Land, Fred Edwards, Ricky Duvall, Allen Griffith, and Bob Bryant .
