Gwynell Rigby Noggle, of Greensboro, GA, died on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Athens Regional Medical Center, at the age of 76. Born in Greensboro on March 21, 1939, she was the daughter of Sarah Young McElhannon of Greensboro, GA and the late Emory Thomas McElhannon. She attended school in Greensboro and worked for Hometown Manufacturing as a seamstress. She loved the beach, shopping, word search puzzles, picking buttercup flowers, and sitting on her porch. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who dearly loved her family. Gwynell was a member of Lakeside Church in Greensboro and more recently Bethel Baptist.
In addition to her mother, Sarah Young Watkins of Greensboro, GA, survivors include her daughters, Sheila Jordan of Greensboro, GA and Cindy Deadwyler (Scott) of Rutledge, GA; a son, Kenneth Rigby (Ruth) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Whitney Deadwyler, Tiffany Farmer, Felicia West, Andrea Manley Finch (Matt), Monica Gwinn (B. J.), Ashley Heuman (Nick), Alan Freeman (Ashley), and Mandy Sutton (Joseph); great grandchildren, Nathan, Wyatt, Luke, Levi, Emma Jewell, Jackson, Caroline, Harrison and Skylar; sister, Gladys Noggle of Greensboro; and two brothers, Nathan McElhannon of Eatonton, GA and Bo McElhannon of Eatonton, GA; a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Noggle and brother, Richard McElhannon.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Dennis Garner officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. before the service at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
