Glenn Edward Taylor of Greensboro, GA, died Sunday, August 18, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was 70.  A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born on August 24, 1948 in Washington, GA to the late Simeon Edward Taylor and Etta Louise Pilcher Taylor.  He graduated from Greene County High School in 1966.  On June 6, 1975 he married the former Carleen Wood.  For many years he was in the logging business.  Later he was co-manager of HB & Sons Salvage in Greensboro, GA. Glenn was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church of Union Point.  He was an avid fisherman and loved being with his family.

He is survived by his devoted wife of forty-four years, Carleen Taylor of Greensboro, GA; daughter, Tonya Chambliss and husband Charles of Greensboro, GA; granddaughter, Jesslyn Chambliss; and numerous friends.
  
Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church, 1560 Bethesda Church Road, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Bruce Lovin officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at Bethesda Baptist Church.  Serving as pallbearers are Tommy Swann, Joey Griffith, Josh Farmer, Doug Higdon, Tony Fowler, and Ronald Swann.  Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Cronic, Bobby Brooks,  Ed Ogletree, Jimmy Farmer, John Osborne, Franklin Combs, Jerry Lunceford, Wayne Jackson and Jimmy Walker.  The family requests that any memorials be made to Bethesda Baptist Church, P. O. Box 302, Union Point, GA 30669.  Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
