Glenda Silvey Madden

Glenda Silvey Madden age 59 of Greensboro, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.  Born in Greensboro, Georgia on May 31, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Harry Preston Silvey and Gloria Elaine Mote King.  She attended school at Crawford County High School in Roberta, GA. She was a homemaker and member of Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church. Most of all she was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her children and being with her family, especially her grandchildren.   

Survivors include two daughters, Chandra Dominy Dawson and husband Rick of Greensboro, GA and Brandy Madden Wood of Greensboro, GA; sisters, Gail Silvey of Lizella, GA and Shirley Silvey Meek of Forsyth, GA; brothers, Donald Preston Silvey and Gerald Silvey both of Woodville, GA and Kenneth Roger Silvey of Greensboro, GA; grandchildren, Brandon Lee Heffner, Dakota Raven Dominy, Michaela Lynn Wood and Seth Wood; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015  at 6:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, with Rev. Tim Tabler officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home.  The family requests that any memorials be made in memory of Glenda Silvey Madden to Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church Building Fund, 2830 Highway 15 South, Greensboro, GA 30642.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
