Gary Lewis Williford, age 52, of Loganville, GA, died Friday, August 1, 2008 at Embracing Hospice in Snellville, Georgia. Born in Fulton County, Georgia on November 24, 1955, he was the son of Darlene Lankford Carter of Loganville, GA and the late Lewis Williford, Jr. He graduated from Towers High School in Decatur, GA. After high school he started working for Brown Trucking as a truck driver and then went to Triple A. Cooper. His most recent job was with Comet Express. He attended Glennwood Baptist Church. A big NASCAR fan he especially enjoyed keeping up with Dale Earnhardt and he loved to go fishing.
In addition to his mother, Darlene Lankford Carter, of Loganville, GA he is survived by his stepfather, Jack Carter of Loganville, GA; a daughter, Jennifer Darlene Williford of Conyers, GA; two sons, Dwayne Lewis Williford of Loganville, GA and Ronald Clyde Williford of Social Circle, GA; a brother, David Lee Williford and wife Tammy of Loganville, GA; two step brothers; Jack Carter, Jr. of Dawsonville, GA and Donald Carter and wife Connie of Conyers, GA; two grandchildren, Emily Darlene Olson and Carmen Williford; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Union Point with Rev. Ray Ivey officiating.
