Gary Michael Leach of Greensboro, GA passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro at the age of 68.  Born in Greensboro, GA on November 6, 1950, he was a lifelong resident of Greene County and the son of the late William Asbury and Leora Alonza Leonard Leach.  He attended Greene County High School.  Gary was a truck driver and drove a truck for ROCA Trucking.  His hobbies included fishing, feeding the deer, gardening, yard work and just enjoying the outdoors.  He was a member of Walker United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Ellis Leach of Greensboro, GA; daughters, Angie Leach Schanz and Jennie Leach Dutton (Darrel); sons, Stephen Leach (Leah) and Clay Leach; sisters, Gayle Smith and Lisa Fuller; brother, Billy Leach (Lois); 11 grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bob” Leach.
 
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel in  Greensboro with Rev. Stephen Leach officiating.  Interment will follow in Walker United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2730 Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642.  Serving as pallbearers are Ceils Merritt, Keith Leach, Gary Madden, Ryan Smith, Justin Pritchett and Wayne Sisson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service Thursday at the funeral home.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
