Gary H. Kroeger
Gary H. Kroeger, age 77, of Greensboro, GA, passed away on February 9, 2015. Gary was born in Queens, NY on December 17, 1937 and was the son of Fred and Clementine Kroeger. He retired from the Ft. Lauderdale Police Department after 32 years of service in which the last 12 years he was Sergeant of the Marine Unit. After retirement in 1995 he moved to Lake Oconee Greensboro, GA. He has been married to his cherished wife, Tricia Kroeger for the last 13 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved boating, fishing, pulling the grandchildren skiing and of course imparting all his wisdom on his family because “he was always right”.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Steve Kroeger (Marissa), Tracie Kroeger, Christine Jeffson (Joel), Mike Garris (Sheila), Teresa Dunagan (David), Scott Walker, Wade Walker (Amy); grandchildren, Camarie Kroop (Justin), Ryland Kroeger, Tyler and Taylor Garris, Mallory and Nathan Jeffson, Danni Lee and Samantha Dunagan, Ellie and Sawyer Walker; great granddaughter, Henley Kroop.
A Memorial Service will be held at McCommons Chapel on February 12, 2015 with Rev. Farrett Boswell officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home.
