Frank Glenn Moore, age 99, of Athens, GA, died September 10, 2005 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Atlanta, GA on September 16, 1905, he was the son of the late Frank G. and Elizabeth Moore. He attended prepatory school in Monroe, GA before joining the United States Navy at the age of fifteen in 1920. He owned an operated a BBQ Restaurant and Tavern.
He was preceded in death by his wife Inez Lathan Moore and a brother, Fritz Moore. He is survived by two daughters, Shirley Bryant of Greensboro, GA and Shelma Chafin and husband Harold of Huntsville, AL; two sons, Robert Franklin Cook Sr. of Winterville, GA and Wallace Earl Cook and wife Debra of Madison, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date with inurnment at Polk Memory Gardens in Cedartown, GA. The family requests that any memorials be made to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund, c/o American Red Cross, East Georgia Chapter 490 Pulaski Street, Athens, GA 30601 or to the charity of your choice.
