Frances Nash Obituary

Frances Louise Boatwright Nash, age 92, of Union Point, Georgia, died on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Greene Point Health Care Center in Union Point. Born December 22, 1917 in Philomath in Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Manthus Boatwright and Myrtle Echols Boatwright. She graduated from Rayle High School in Rayle, GA. While growing up, the family moved several times and after marrying Marion Nash, they settled in Union Point, where she was a member of the Robinson Baptist Church in the Robinson Community. She retired as a spinner from Union Manufacturing in Union Point and also worked for Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital as a nurse''s assistant. Her favorite activity was reading and she especially enjoyed reading her bible.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Fluker Nash in March of 1973; a sister, Pauline Boatwright Barnes; and a brother, Alexander Boatwright. She is survived by two sons, Frank Nash and wife Sandra of Ball Ground, GA and William Nash and wife Brenda of Brooklet, GA; seven grandchildren, Karen Jenkins and husband Ray of Dawsonville, GA, Frank Nash Jr. and wife Linda of Clarksville, TN, Angela Lively and husband Clint of Dawsonville, GA, Brandon Nash of Cumming, GA, Justin Nash of Ball Ground, GA, David Nash of Savannah, GA and Lee Nash and wife Jennifer of Hurst, TX; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Callaway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Yearwood officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1423 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669. Serving as pallbearers are Dale Barnes, Franklin Jones, Clay Jones, Harvey Jones, Douglas Corry and Alexander Boatwright Jr. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at Callaway Funeral Home in Union Point. The family requests that any memorials be made to Robinson Baptist Church, 3230 Greensboro Road NW, Robinson, GA 30669. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
