Sara Frances Bradley Clifton, age 84, of Greensboro, Georgia, passed away on February 1, 2013 at Warrenton Health and Rehabilitation in Warrenton, GA. Born in Greene County on June 15, 1928 she was the daughter of the late William Dennis Bradley, Sr. and Stella Virginia Smith Bradley. She graduated from Greensboro High School and Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. She married William Roger Clifton on June 24, 1951 in the Bradley family home place. For a while she worked at The Little Red School House in Union Point which was established for special children. Later she taught science and math for a number of years at Nathanael Greene Academy where she was the homeroom teacher for seventh grade until she retired in 1991. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Greensboro.
Survivors include a son, Michael Roger Clifton and his wife Tommye of Anderson, SC; a sister Lucy Conner of northern Kentucky; two brothers, Bobby Bradley of Greensboro, GA and Joe "J. B." Bradley of Monroe, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia Parks, Ellen Martin, Billy Bradley, Frank Bradley, Bernard Bradley and Jack Bradley.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Dennis Garner officiating. Interment will follow at the Siloam Cemetery, Church Street, Siloam, GA 30665. Serving as pallbearers are Gene Bradley, Mike Bradley, Rick Ward, Wayne Bradley and Robert Bradley. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service Monday morning at McCommons Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be made to Nathanael Greene Academy, P. O.
