Floyd Bryant Obituary

Floyd Allen Bryant, age 74, of Buckhead, GA, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Morgan Memorial Hospital in Madison, GA. Born on April 15, 1935 in Greene County, he was the son of the late William Mack Bryant and Rilla Randall Bryant. He graduated from Morgan County High School and married Lillian Varnia Roberson on March 16, 1956. Floyd was a machine operator at Wellington Puritan Mill for more than thirty years retiring in 2004. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Madison, GA.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Varnia Roberson Bryant on November 13, 2007; and two siblings, Mary Roberson and Buck Bryant. He is survived by a daughter, Juanita "C. J." Bryant Bishop and husband Buddy of Farmington, GA; two sons, Mark Alvin Bryant and wife Charlotte of Madison, GA and Jason Bryant and wife Yvonne of Monks Corner, SC; a sister, Clyde Hollis of Danielsville, GA; two brothers, Dent Bryant of Habersham, GA and Johnny Bryant of Athens, GA; five grandchildren, Dusty Bryant, Jessie Bryant, Brandy Bishop, Jeffery Miller and Britney Pierce; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Michael Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at Buckhead Cemetery.
