Eva Hogan Obituary

Eva Mae Plank Hogan, Crawfordville, Georgia, formerly of Park City, Ky, passed away 19 April 2016  in Georgia.  She was born near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, 10 July 1927, one of eleven children of Ernest and Mary Elizabeth Plank.  She came to Kentucky in 1940, where she met and married Cleo C. Hogan Sr. in 1942.  They had 2 children, Cleo C. Hogan Jr. (Glynna), Park City, Kentucky, and Geneva Elizabeth Hogan Lancaster, (Don, deceased), Crawfordville, Georgia.  

She retired as a cook with National Park Concessions, Mammoth Cave National Park, and later worked as a ticket agent with the Miss Green River Boat concession, also at Mammoth Cave National Park.

She spent most of her life on the farm near Stovall Crossing in Barren County.  In later years, she moved to Georgia, and lived with a granddaughter (Debbie) in La Grange and Dallas Georgia.  More recently, she had lived with her daughter, Geneva, in Crawfordville, GA, where she was very active with Community Events and the Don Lancaster Sunshine House.

She was a member of the Park City United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and Special Bible Studies for many years.

She is survived by her two children, Cleo Jr. and Geneva; one sister, Naiomi, (Bill deceased) Hanover, PA; three grandchildren, Cindi Lancaster Hanes (David deceased) of Georgetown, KY, Debbie Lancaster Spear (Bill) of Dallas, GA, and  Bobby Lancaster (Sherri) of Rogersville, AL;  six great grandchildren, Adam Cook, Robby Smith, Chandler Haynes, Jeremy Lancaster, Chris Lancaster, and Kinley Lancaster; and six great, great grandchildren,   She also leaves behind, her little puppy, "Hobo".

A memorial service will be held in the near future.
