Eunice Withrow Obituary

Eunice Hilda Holley Withrow, age 95, of Greensboro, GA, died Friday, September 18, 2009 at Boswell Parker Nursing Center. Born on April 23, 1914 she was a native of Verbena, AL and the daughter of the late Robert Fulton Holley of Ashland, AL and the former Callie Delene Culver of Rockford, AL. She graduated from high school in Clanton Alabama and from Clanton Community Business School. In 1934 she married Ralph Lewis Withrow of Swords Georgia.

Mrs. Withrow was a homemaker, a member of Eastern Star, past president of WMU, and an active member of the First Baptist Church in Greensboro. With church friends she traveled to the Holy Land, sang with the Golden Tone Choir, and enjoyed Community Bible Study. Mrs. Withrow served her community as a pink lady at Minnie G. Boswell Hospital and delivered Meals on Wheels. She also enjoyed working at the election polls, gardening and selling World Book Encyclopedia.

Mrs. Withrow was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lewis Withrow; and two sisters, Thelma Holley and Myrtle Holley Stephens. She is survived by daughters Laquita Withrow Pimm of Athens Georgia; Linda Withrow of Atlanta, GA; Holley Withrow Renno and husband Gene of Augusta, GA; a son, Ralph Lewis Withrow Jr. and wife Ferah of Covington, GA; sisters-in-law, Helen Withrow and Bertha Ballew; a granddaughter, Margaret Hovel and husband Dan of Byron, MN and their two sons, Matt and Chris.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Greensboro City Cemetery with Rev. Michael Hardy officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home. The family requests that any memorials be made to The First Baptist Church, 203 S.
