Ethel Moore Mullins

Ethel Goodwin Moore Mullins, age 85, of Jackson, GA, formerly of Greensboro, GA, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Westbury Medical Care Home, Inc. in Jackson, GA. Born in Greene County on August 10, 1928 she was the daughter of the late George Frank Moore and Berta Wright Moore. She attended Meadowcrest School in Greensboro. On January 1, 1947 she married Francis Thomas "Skillet" Mullins of Greensboro. Ethel was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, growing flowers and being with her family.

Ethel is survived by a daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Merritt and husband Ted of Jackson, GA; son, Tony Mullins and wife Rosie of Locust Grove, GA; son-in-law, Johnny Hoek of Jackson, GA; brother, Frank "Bo" Moore and wife Marilyn of Evans, GA; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Francis Thomas "Skillet" Mullins, she was preceded in death by her parents, George and Berta Moore; a daughter, Donna Jo Hoek; sisters, Mae Johnson and Louise Johnson; brothers, Jack Moore and George Moore; and step-mother, Claudia Moore.

Funeral Services will be held, Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel, Greensboro, GA with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642. Serving as pallbearers are Charlie Kelly, Rob Lunsford, Jody Hoek, Eric Merritt, Deven Mullins and Johnny Hoek.
