Emma Dean Davis Holcomb of Union Point, GA died on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA.  She was 78.  Living most of her life in Union Point, GA, she was born on April 12, 1941 to the late Thomas Edward Davis and Mary Ludie Smith Davis.  Emma Dean graduated from Union Point High School.  On December 23, 1960 she married Julian Holcomb from Lincolnton, GA.  After living in Atlanta for 10 years they returned to Union Point in 1971.  She worked for Citizens Union Bank which later became BankSouth as Assistant Vice President retiring in 1993.  Emma Dean enjoyed gambling at Cherokee and was an excellent cook, especially biscuits.  She attended Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church.
 
Survivors include her two sons, Danny Holcomb of Greensboro, GA and Randy Holcomb (Shanna) of Milledgeville, GA; brother, Thomas Davis, Jr. (Lynda) of Union Point, GA; sister, Pansy Andrews (George) of Greensboro, GA; grandchildren, Rusty Holcomb, Brandi Holcomb Clements (Daniel), and Ava Holcomb; and great grandchildren, Colton Clements, Landon Clements, Logan Clements, and Aubree Clements.  
 
Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 21, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Callaway Funeral Home Chapel, 208 North Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Tim Tabler officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday at Callaway Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service.  Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
