Emma Lela McDaniel Hubbard

Emma Lela “Peggy” McDaniel Hubbard, age 80, of Waynesboro, GA, formerly of Greensboro, GA died Monday, November 17, 2008 at Brentwood Terrace Health Center in Waynesboro. Born on May 18, 1928 in Walton County, she was the daughter of the late James McDaniel and Emma Crane McDaniel. For ten years she worked as a patrol officer at the school crossings for the Richmond County Public Schools and also worked for a while at the Waffle House in Greensboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Hubbard, in July of this year; daughters, Elaine Hubbard and Vicky Hubbard; siblings, Marie McIntyre, Brennan McDaniel, Harold McDaniel, Bobby McDaniel and C. W. McDaniel. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Lee Hubbard and wife Kathy of Waynesboro, GA and Robert Hugh Hubbard of Augusta, GA; two brothers, Billy McDaniel of Hephzibah, GA and Jr. McDaniel of Commerce, GA; three grandchildren, Reginald Hubbard, Melinda Pittard and Andrew Hubbard; seven great grandchildren, Aaron Epperly, Taylor Epperly, Garrett Evans, Ashley Pittard, Amber Pittard, Allie Pittard, and Allison Pittard; and a number of other relatives and friends. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Greensboro City Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Serving as pallbearers are John Durst, Mike Pittard, B. J. McDaniel, Wayne Smith, Reese McDaniel, Mike Wilson and Mike Turner. The family will receive friends from 11:30 p.m. until time for the service at the funeral home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
