Elsie Mae Kingsbury Parrish

Elsie Mae Kingsbury Parrish, age 83, of Greensboro, GA, formerly of Concord, NH, died on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born and raised in Tilton, NH, she had been living in Greensboro for the last sixteen years. She was the daughter of the late George Mark Kingsbury and Grace Miriam Davis Kingsbury. She graduated from Tilton High School in New Hampshire and was a telephone operator for New England Telephone for over 20 years. She also worked for the state of New Hampshire for ten years as a telephone operator and during World War II she worked in the Pentagon.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Callahan and husband Jack of Greensboro, GA; two sisters, Gertrude Kingsbury of Concord, NH and Beatrice Foster of Essex Junction, Vermont; three grandsons, Doug Callahan and wife Audrey of Norcross, GA, Christopher Callahan and wife Sandy of St. Louis, Missouri and Michael Callahan of Charleston, SC; three great grand children, Grace Callahan, Megan Callahan and Jack Callahan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ruth Kingsbury Cleaves, Grace Kingsbury and Margaret Kingsbury Reightenvaugh.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel with Father G. Philip Ryan officiating. The family will receive friends and family Thursday at McCommons Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service.
