Elizabeth Cofer McCall
Elizabeth Cofer McCall of Dacula, GA died on Monday, February 27, 2017, at the age of 92 at Mulberry Grove Assisted Living in Statham, GA. A native of Greensboro, GA she was born on June 6, 1924 to the late Percy O’Neal Cofer and Eulalie Amos Cofer. She graduated from Greensboro High School in the class of 1941. For more than thirty years, Elizabeth was a secretary for Fafnir Bearings which later became Ingersoll Rand. She retired in 1984. She had been a resident of Dacula since 1998 where she was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Prior to moving to Dacula, she lived in Brookhaven, GA. where she was a member of Brookhaven Baptist Church for many years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and she will be sorely missed. Elizabeth loved flowers and the outdoors and spent most of her day tending her beautiful yard. Every season she always had something blooming.
In addition to her son, Kenneth Richard “Ken” Lee and his wife Becky of Dacula, GA, she is survived by three grandchildren, Jennifer Mearkle (Brian), Jessica Lee Potts (R.J.) and Melissa Lee; and four great grandchildren, Kyle, Katie, Elizabeth and Haylee; her very good friend, Alvin; a number of other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings, P. A. Cofer, Thelma Loughridge and Rebecca Willingham.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 12 noon at the Greensboro City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA. Serving as pallbearers are Pete Cofer, Roger Parham, Brian Mearkle, Kyle Mearkle, RJ Potts, and Ken Lee. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
