Eleanor Mae Latimer Hayes, 86, of Madison, GA formerly of East Hartford, CT, widow of the late Alfred J. Hayes, Sr., passed from this life on Monday, December 16, 2002 in Greensboro, GA. Eleanor was born in East Hartford, the daughter of George and Grace Latimer, and had been a resident of the East Hartford community before moving to Georgia in 2001. Eleanor is survived by her son Alfred J. Hayes, Jr. of Charleston, SC; and her 6 daughters: Barbara Richard and her husband Franklin of Las Vegas, NV; Patricia McCloud and her husband Robert of Reva, VA; Pamela Smith and her husband Terry of Madison, GA; Deborah Decker and her husband Ralph of Wilson, NC; Linda Siemon and her husband Charles of Stafford, CT; and Dawn Lamarre of Phoenix, AZ. She also leaves her 25 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren and her son-in-law Fred Laplante of Las Vegas, NV. Eleanor was predeceased by her daughter Lorraine Laplante, along with her 3 sisters and a brother. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Callahan Funeral Home, 1602 Main Street, East Hartford. Committal services will follow at St. Mary''s Cemetery, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
