Edward Joseph Weekly, Sr.

Edward Joseph Weekly, Sr., age 85, of Greensboro, GA died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at his residence. Born in Glenwood, WV on January 21, 1929, he was the son of the late George J. and Mary E. Durfee Weekly.  Before moving to Greene County forty years ago, he was a brick and block mason.  After moving to Greensboro, he began work for Sweetapple Plastics and later worked for NIBCO in maintenance. After working at NIBCO, he was self employed until he retired.  One of his favorite pastime was fishing.

In addition to his wife of 64 years, Frances Weekly of Greensboro, GA, he is survived by three sons, Terry Weekly of Panama City Beach, FL, Mike Weekly (Billie Jean) of Greensboro, GA and Edward Weekly, Jr. (Linda) of Blairsville, GA; other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by all of his siblings, Leah Clary, Georgia Mount, May Henry, Harry Weekly and Emory Weekly.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Callaway Funeral Home. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
