Mr. Edward W. Crawford, Jr., age 88 of Carrollton Manor, Carrollton, GA., passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007. He was born February 26, 1919 in Greene County, GA., to the late Bertie Louise Freeman Crawford and Edward W. Crawford, Sr. Mr. Crawford was retired after a career in the Coast Guard. Survivors include three cousins, Frances McKinney, Elizabeth Spillers and Evelyn Goodrow all of Hawkinsville; as well as a number of other relatives. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, August 13, 2007 at 3 PM from Crawfordville Baptist Church Cemetery, Crawfordville Georgia. Interment will follow. Friends may pay their respect at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home Sunday from 1 until 3 PM. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com.
