Edna Ramona Corine “Mona” Boyd Edna Ramona Corine “Mona” Boyd of Greensboro, GA, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Saint Joseph’s at East Georgia Hospital in Greensboro. Born in Sylvester, GA on October 2, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Cleo Jackson Boyd and Willie Pearl Bell Boyd Beard. She graduated from Worth County High School and later from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of the Pilot Club of Greene County and enjoyed travelling and reading. She had lived in Greensboro since 2006. She is survived by her brother Mark Boyd and wife Ellen of Sharpsburg, GA; stepsister, Beverly Gibson; stepbrother, Nelson Beard; nieces and nephews, Joshua Boyd, Jonathan Boyd and Lori Boyd; great nephew and niece, Nathan and Cadence Boyd; and a very good friend Faye Worthen of Greensboro, GA; and a number of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the McCommons Chapel with Rev. Bruce Lovin officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home in Greensboro. Interment Services will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Red Oak Baptist Church, 204 Red Oak Road, Warwick, GA 31976 with Rev. Buford Tanner officiating.
