Edith Louise Moody Turner
Edith Louise Moody Turner, age 74, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. A lifelong resident of Greensboro, she was born on July 29, 1943 the daughter of the late William Albert Moody and Emma Viola McElhannon Moody. Edith graduated from Greensboro High School and worked for Mary Leila Cotton Mills in Greensboro as a weaver. She was married to Claude Lee Turner who preceded her in death on February 23, 2002. Edith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro and loved being a homemaker, taking care of her family and reading books. She also enjoyed connecting with her friends on facebook.
Survivors include three daughters, Angela Turner, Tracie Turner Thompson and Meredith Turner Barnhart all of Greensboro, GA; son Scott Turner of Madison, GA; three brothers, William Gary Moody of Fountain, CO, Phillip Moody of Greensboro, GA and Horace Moody of Baton Rouge, LA; sixteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Moody; sister, Hilda Annette McRoberts; and a granddaughter, Alicia Simpson.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Robert Robinson officiating.
