Edith Lurlene Bryant Glass, 90, of Watkinsville, GA, formerly of Greensboro, GA, died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Family Life Enrichment Center of High Shoals. Born on May 10, 1916 in Jasper County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Olin Bryant and Callie Lillie Merritt Bryant. She was a graduate of Greensboro High School. During her working career she was a sales clerk for Weinstein''s Department Store and worked for Wayne Feed Egg Terminal which later became Vantress. Lurlene was a member of the Meadowcrest Club in Greensboro where she enjoyed quilting and other activities and a member of Fork Chapel United Methodist Church in Greshamville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Lawrence Glass in January of 1994; a sister, Mary Alice Ogletree; and a brother, Ed Bryant. She is survived by a daughter, Gayle G. Kesler of Watkinsville, GA; and siblings, Myra Winstead of Tucker, GA, Alvin Bryant of Snellville, GA and Garland Bryant of Athens, GA; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Greensboro City Cemetery with Rev. Paul Glass officiating.
