Eddie Moody Obituary

Eddie Eugene “Ed” Moody, age 41, of Elberton, GA, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at his daughter’s home in Colbert, GA. Born in Greene County on April 3, 1963, he was the son of Linda Walker Moody Thurmond of Crawford, GA and the late Ronald Jason Moody. He attended Greene County Schools. For the last twenty years he had worked as the lead builder at Zephyr Van Conversion until November of 2003. Recently he was baptized at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartwell, GA. During his leisure time he loved to play softball and go fishing.   In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gaines Moody of Elberton, GA; three daughters, Ashley Moody of Colbert, GA, Tori Moody of Colbert, GA and Amber Gaines Moody of Elberton, GA; a son, Cameron Moody of Elberton, GA; two brothers, Mike Moody of Watkinsville, GA and Jeff Moody of Colbert, GA; and a number of other relatives and friends.   Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Larry Ivie and Rev. Johnny Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Roger McElhannon, Keith “Breeze” Epps, Kevin “Boo Boo” Epps, Lee “Stick” Welchell, Pete Brown, Troy Glenn and Keith “Black” Black. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees at Zephyr Van Conversion and members of Cornerstone Baptist Church Couples 2 Sunday School Class.
