Dorothy Ann Burgess Jarrell

Dorothy Ann Burgess Jarrell of Penfield, GA, died on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, GA, at the age of 76.  Born in Marshalltown, AL she was the daughter of the late Ranchel Paul Burgess and Lula Bell Henderson Burgess.  She attended school in Crawford, GA and on September 2, 1966 she married Robert Allen Jarrell of Penfield, GA. In addition to being a homemaker, for a while she worked at Quail International and also worked in the kitchen at Head Start. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and watching wrestling and soap operas on tv.  
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Jarrell and all of her siblings, Linbergh Burgess, Wilburn Burgess, Carl Burgess, Cleo Burgess, Fred Burgess, Marie Burgess Chandler and Yvonne Geter.  Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Lanette Jarrell and Donna Ann Jarrell both of Penfield, GA; granddaughter, Isabel Marie Perez; other relatives and friends.  

Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the Penfield Cemetery, 1211 Cemetery Road, Penfield, GA 30669.  The family will receive friends Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home.
