Dorothy Rainey Conley

Dorothy Rainey Conley, age 71, of Siloam, GA died Monday, June 9, 2008 at her residence. She was born June 21, 1936 in Greene County to the late Ben Lates Rainey and Sarah Virginia Jackson Rainey. She graduated from Union Point High School in 1954. In 1956 she married Willie Paul Huff and they had one child, Robin Huff, in 1958. During her working career she worked at Thomson Company in Thomson, GA and later at Garland in Warrenton, GA as a seamstress. In 1982 she married David Conley and moved to Siloam. Mrs. Conley was of the Methodist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lowe Conley in February of 2005. Survivors include a daughter, Robin Smith and husband Matt of Eatonton, GA; stepdaughter, Tina Marie Conley Grall and husband John of Locust Grove, GA; brother, Ben L. Rainey, Jr. and wife Barbara of Lake Oconee, GA; three grandchildren, Stephanie McCoy, Jeremy McCoy and Shane McCoy; great grandchild, Aiden Mitchell; many other relatives and friends; and a companion and best friend, her dog Nelson.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Siloam Cemetery with Rev. Jim Olds officiating.
