Doris Christine Gaddis Harris, age 57, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Thursday, June 26, 2003 at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was born in Cobb County on November 16, 1945 to the late Paul Gaddis, Sr. and Pearl Hyde Gaddis. She had been the owner and operator of a daycare, and most recently was a cashier at Cotton''s Corner. She had lived in Greensboro for the last six years and was of the Morman Faith.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Harris of Greensboro, GA; a daughter, Sherrie Lynn Dodd of Greensboro, GA; three sons, Frankie Dodd of Savannah, GA, Phil Dodd of Savannah, GA and Greg Dodd of Savannah, GA; two sisters, Shirley Jordan of Savannah, Georgia and Thelma Luttrell of Hiram, Georgia; a brother, Paul Gaddis Jr. of Hiram, GA; eleven grandchildren, Cavin Collins, Mikie Collins, Summer Collins, Cheyenne Kidwell, Little Frankie Dodd, Teri Dodd, Justin Dodd, Jamie Dodd, Shane Dodd, Christy Lewis and Kayla Lewis. She was preceded in death by a brother Gene Gaddis. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel with Farrett Boswell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626, is in charge of arrangements.
