Dollie Mae Greeson Beal, 92, of Greensboro, GA, died November 24, 2012 at Boswell Parker Nursing Center. Born November 5, 1920 to the late Chesterfield Greeson and Martha Haygood Greeson, she was a native of Whitfield County and a longtime resident of Greensboro. Dollie married Joseph Wesley "J.W." Beal in 1939 and they moved to Greene County in 1955 from Buckhead, GA. She retired as a winder from Wellington Puritan Mills which was formerly Mary Leila Cotton Mill. She enjoyed macrame, poetry writing, crafting, reading and putting together puzzles. She was a member of Walker United Methodist Church and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Dollie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Wesley "J.W." Beal in August of 2000; son, Billy Beal; siblings, Edna Mitchell, Phylis Chambers, Baxter Greeson, J. W. Greeson and Logan Greeson; and grandchildren, Clifford Newsom, Curtis Jordan and Michael Beal. She is survived by two daughters, Gladys Jordan and husband Doffice of Greensboro, GA and Sandra Jordan of Union Point, GA; two sons, David Beal of Greensboro, GA and Faron Beal and wife Tracie of Greensboro, GA; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Bruce Lovin and Rev. Johnny Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
