Diane Marchman Wheeler

Diane Marchman Wheeler, age 67, of Greensboro, GA, passed away on September 23, 2015 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.  Born in Sandersville, GA on June 7, 1948, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Marchman and Jesse Faye Underwood Marchman.   She graduated from Greene County High School in the class of 1966.  On August 30, 1968 she married James Lawrence Wheeler, Sr. of Greensboro.  She worked as a DSD Receiver for BI-LO until she retired.  However, her most important job was taking care of family, especially her grandchildren.   She was a member of Mt. Stephens Baptist Church in White Plains.

In addition to her husband, James Lawrence Wheeler, Sr. of Greensboro, GA, she is survived by four sons, Jimmy Wheeler (Andria) of Greensboro, GA, Benjey Wheeler (Jamie) of Atlanta, GA, Donald Wheeler (Amy) of Lincolnton, GA and Gerald Wheeler (Joni) of Union Point, GA; a daughter, Darline Wheeler Lawson (Randy) of Greensboro, GA; three brothers, Jamie L. “Bobo” Marchman (Joan) of Greensboro, GA, Billy Wayne Marchman (Sandra) of White Plains, GA and Franklin Lee “Flea” Marchman (Pat) of White Plains, GA; grandchildren, Matthew, Luke (Jordan), Danielle (Trey), Merri, Jackson, Avery, Beth (Josh), Genna and Caleb; great grandchildren, Aiden, Emma-Bailey, Roxie and Sophie; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held, Friday, September 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Stephens Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Garner, Rev. Wayne Hamilton and Rev. Eugene Bess officiating.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home.  Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Jones, Randy Lawson, Josh Knight, Luke Wheeler, Matthew Wheeler and Jackson Wheeler.  Interment will follow at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery, 1560 Bethesda Church Road, Union Point, GA 30669.
