Dennis James Moore, Sr., age 67, of Greensboro, GA, died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born November 12, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Edward Lawrence Moore and Viola Grant Moore. He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati and attended the University of Dayton. He was the owner and operator of D. J. Moore Plumbing in Cincinnati, Ohio which he took over in 1975 after working with his dad. He continued the family business working with his two sons and moved the business to Greensboro in 1995. He was a member of Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church in Greensboro, GA and a past president of the National Home Builders Association while in Cincinnati, OH. Dennis was an avid golfer, boater and great family man.
He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Patricia Dillon Moore; two daughters, Tina Sikorski and husband Stan of Jacksonville, FL and Tammy Facciolo and husband Michael of Cincinnati, OH; two sons, Dennis James "Denny" Moore Jr. and wife Amy of Greensboro, GA and Douglas Edward Moore and wife Chrys of Madison, GA; a sister, Mitzi Weisenhahn and husband Gale of Cincinnati, OH; nine grandchildren, Eric Sikorski, Alex Sikorski, Nicholas Sikorski, Kylie Moore, Molly Moore, Dillon Moore, Susan Facciolo, Joseph Facciolo and Antonio Facciolo; and many other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church with Father G. Philip Ryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Dillon Moore, Eric Sikorski, Alex Sikorski, Stan Sikorski, Joe Facciolo and Michael Facciolo.
