David Wayne Hall
David Wayne Hall, of Union Point, GA, died on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, at the age of 61. A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born in Greensboro on October 9, 1956, and was the son Ann Finch Murphy of Greensboro, GA and the late Bobby Wayne Hall and his adoptive father, the late Alton Murphy. He grew up and attended school in Union Point. He married the former Connie Frances Waldroup on August 22, 1992. He was a truck driver for Lodestar which he enjoyed very much. When he wasn’t driving he enjoyed watching television, studying history especially the Civil War and World War II. He also enjoyed trains and collecting model transfer trucks. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church in Greensboro.
In addition to his mother, Ann Finch Murphy of Greensboro, GA, David is survived by his wife, Connie Hall of Union Point, GA; daughters, Brandy Ballew (Clint) of Baldwin, GA and Tiffany Grindstaff (Eric) of Kings Mountain, NC; brother, Randy Murphy; sister, Michelle Henry (Tommy); nephew, Thomas A. Henry; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of his life will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church, 2830 Highway 15 South, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Tim Tabler officiating.
