Daryle Wayne Cummins, age 70, of Union Point, GA, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Saint Joseph''s at East Georgia Hospital. Born in Seymour, Missouri on March 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Glen Austin Cummins and Betty Jo Denner Cummins. He graduated from Seymour High School in Missouri, worked as a bricklayer and then joined the United States Army in 1962. He served his country during the Vietnam War. After the war he worked as a bricklayer for a while and then started working for Caterpillar in Mapleton, Illinois for thirty years retiring in October of 1991. They moved to Union Point in 1991 after living thirty years in Glasford, Illinois. He had many talents but he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and golfing the most.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Johnson Cummins of Union Point, GA; a daughter, Melissa Ann Duvall and husband Sean of Covington, GA; four sons, Michael Duane Cummins of St. Louis, Missouri, Mark Craig Cummins and wife Holly of Covington, GA, Dennis Lee Cummins of Dothan, Alabama and Darren Wayne Cummins of Marshville, Missouri; sisters, Darlene Ann Phillips of Springfield, Missouri, Lavetta June Cummins of Seymour, Missouri and Sharon K. Hale of Poinciana, Florida; grandchildren, Josh Cummins, Dustin Wayne Cummins, Trevor Alex Duvall, Tyler Austin Duvall and Cooper Lee Cummins and a number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patty Ruth Hansen and his brother, Harold "Pete" Cummins.

Memorial Services will be held at their home on Sunday, March 13, 2011. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
