Danny Lem Moss

Danny Lem Moss of Greensboro, GA passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospice House in Watkinsville, GA.  Danny was born on October 20, 1950 in Madison, GA to the late J. B. Moss and Bonnie Young Moss. He graduated from Morgan County High School in 1968 and proudly served his country in the National Guard for six years. During his working career he worked for Bellsouth as a service technician and retired after 33 years.  He had a lifelong love for the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motor cycles and he also enjoyed cooking. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone. If someone needed help he was always eager to lend a hand. His greatest love was his family and his church, New Hope Baptist Church, where he did a lot of mission work.  He was also a member of the San Marino Masonic Lodge in Greensboro.  

He is survived by his daughter, Bobbi Jo Morris and husband Anthony “Tony” of Madison, GA and a son Adam Moss of Greensboro, GA; two sisters, Joan Hunnicutt and her husband Lent of Lithonia, GA and Beverly Brown of Madison, GA; two brothers, Frank Moss and wife Mary Jim of Eatonton, GA and Mike Moss and wife Sandra of Rutledge, GA; eight grandchildren, Brandon Roberts, Justin Morris, Austin Morris, Hunter Morris, Mara Moss, Evan Moss, Luca Moss and Emberly Moss; other relatives, many friends; and his beloved yellow lab, Claxton.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 1400 Farmington Road, Madison, GA 30650 with Rev.
